Cabbage town gems

cabbage town is that part of toronto that is unfortunate to have to host the project housing resulting in high crime rate. the city and the community though are trying hard to change this image and to some extend they are successful. the few bars that we hit this week are little gems hidden in a less traveled area of town. although the beer selection/freshness could be improved, the ambiance is definitely there. cant help it but I'm saddened about how empty these bars where. they are way better local bars than compared to many others in town but the shady image of the location prevents the typical crowd to gather. perhaps what this area needs is an indie rock venue and a bit better public transport access but who know. indie rockers all seem to gather around the west side of town for now, who knows if they will ever wonder east. i feel the pain of Cabbage town business bureau. At some point i need to visit these bars again to right a more conclusive review; meanwhile cheerzio... new pictures posted.
